Strong Singularities in Mixed Boundary Value Problems
where [0, T ] ⊂ . We assume that D ⊂ 2 , f satisfies the Carathéodory conditions on (0, T ) × D , p ∈ C[0, T ] and 1/p need not be integrable on [0, T ]. Here f can have time singularities at t = 0 and/or t = T and a space singularity at x = 0. Moreover, f can change its sign. Provided f is nonnegative it can have even a space singularity at y = 0. We present conditions for the existence of sol...
متن کاملEdge-degenerate Boundary Value Problems on Cones
We consider edge-degenerate families of pseudodiierential boundary value problems on a semi-innnite cylinder and study the behavior of their push-forwards as the cylinder is blown up to a cone near innnity. We show that the transformed symbols belong to a particularly convenient symbol class. This result has applications in the Fredholm theory of boundary value problems on manifolds with edges.
متن کاملTransient Thermal Mixed Boundary Value Problems in the Half-Space
The Wiener-Hopf and Cagniard-de Hoop techniques are employed in order to solve a range of transient thermal mixed boundary value problems on the halfspace. The thermal field in the half-space is determined via a rapidly convergent integral, which can be evaluated straightforwardly and efficiently. Model problems are considered before the specific application areas of heat loss from buildings in...
متن کاملL2-transforms for boundary value problems
In this article, we will show the complex inversion formula for the inversion of the L2-transform and also some applications of the L2, and Post Widder transforms for solving singular integral equation with trigonometric kernel. Finally, we obtained analytic solution for a partial differential equation with non-constant coefficients.
متن کاملSingular discrete and continuous mixed boundary value problems
For each n ∈ N, n ≥ 2 we prove the existence of a positive solution of the singular discrete problem 1 h2 ∆uk−1 + f(tk, uk) = 0, k = 1, . . . , n− 1, ∆u0 = 0, un = 0, where T ∈ (0,∞), h = T n , tk = hk, f : [0, T ] × (0,∞) is continuous and has a singularity at x = 0. We prove that for n → ∞ the sequence of solutions of the above discrete problems converges to a solution y of the corresponding ...
